To Be Read Pile...2014

Last year I joined in on the blog, Bookish TBR challenge. I made a list of books that had been languishing on my bookshelf that needed me to come rescue them. I love buying or getting books, but sometimes don't make time to read them.

It was definitely a success for me and really had me reading. I read 17 books during 2013 challenge.

So I made my list for 2014, checked it twice. (I had to go back and get the e-books I got, forgot about them). And I'm ready to dive in.

For the TBR 2014 Challenge there are 6 levels:

1-10 - A Firm Handshake

21-30 - First Kiss
31-40 - Sweet Summer Fling
41-50 - Could this be love?

I Did Run

Yesterday I bugged off running because it was dark out and I'm too easily talked out of things when it food time.

I made up for it today. 5 miles done.
My splits were not very encouraging though. They were up and down and all around.

Just when I'm starting to think I can pull of a sub 2 half marathon...

I'm hoping it was just left over sluggishness from lots of yummy Thanksgiving food and actually having to be at work again.

Kind of a bum other-wise though. I checked to see if the wreath I have will fit over my mailbox for decorating purposes. They are big on decorating mailboxes out here, I have to keep up with them!

Here is our happy mantle that I did get done and Christmas tree.

I am really not the greatest picture taker. I'm sure if I knew about lighting and whatever else these would look so much more awesome instead of yellow-like.
Oh, well

Christmas lights are awesome and I so enjoy having something to look at when I run at night.

Kitty Demands Love

I was working on my To-Do list and Kitty-Girl decided it was love-love time.

I was trying to sew on the missing buttons for my coat. Though, I some how managed to lose one button altogether...

...And here comes Kitty-Girl, swatting at the thread and digging through the coat itself before she settled herself right down in the middle of it all.

Yes, I did just sew around her. I tried rebuffing her several times but when it snuggle time, who I am to say no.

Cats are awesome.

Buttons were sewn on though, so mission accomplished.

I did however miss my run. Staff meeting ran for almost two hours. Sure I could have still gone, but it was dark and dinner and excuses....
Tomorrow. Tomorrow is another day.
